Woburn or longleat which is better

Woburn Forest Bedfordshire: Aimed at Londoners and set just one hour from the city. This is the newest village in the UK although probably the smallest and it features the largest Subtropical Swimming Paradise with excellent pools for toddlers and a pirate ship to explore for younger children. To be honest, they all have much the same offerings with lake-based activities, tree-top jaunts, cycling, laser combat, aerial adventures, electric boats and pedalos, adventure golf, raft building, and even teddy bear picnics for the little ones.

All resorts offer a huge range of drinking and dining options at least 10 in each resort! All resorts feature the Rajinda Pradesh restaurants offering contemporary Eastern-inspired dishes. So which resort gets my vote? In the bars and restaurants, the staff were reasonable in all resorts, though expect service levels to drop massively at peak times, we had to chase people for our puddings and bills in all the resorts.

Whinfell was a very close second in terms of service which I felt more than made up for the slightly older look of the resort and its facilities. On a positive note, I would also add, that the activities staff at all resorts are where Center Parcs truly sets itself apart. All Center Parcs feature an award-winning Aqua Sana Spa, which offers a wide range of treatments for both men and women, delivered by expert therapists.

Choose between deeply relaxing massages to beautifying manicures and pedicures, skin-perfecting facials and renewing hot stones therapies, plus enjoy all the facilities including pools, relaxation areas, and saunas. This mainly comes down to the size of the resorts and I would say Longleat, Sherwood, Elveden, and Whinfell win hands down here, where bicycles are virtually essential!

Woburn is small enough that you can walk or take a scooter for your kids to scoot between venues. We had a few issues with facilities working in Whinfell and Sherwood, but out of those two, I would opt for Sherwood again as the lodges felt that little bit newer.

All the accommodation options are well maintained but functional. Furnished in woods, plastics, and hard-wearing fabrics, they are practical but not beautiful. Many feature outdoor patios, but these are small and generally overlooking a patch of grass and a few trees, not tranquil lakes and deep forests. Follow Us on Instagram. Guidebook: Forums:. I realise everyone has different opinions but I'm trying to find out which Center Parcs people prefer out of Longleat and Woburn and why? We have been to Longleat before a number of times but we're currently looking to go with my mum and we're not sure which to choose.

Longleat is closer to us but a lot of the 3 bed villas are the other side of the park and it's very spread out. What's Woburn like? From what I've read the pool is small? Disney ? I've been to both and I prefer Longleat because its much bigger and you can cycle, the pool is better especially with the outside area. Woburn is obviously newer so everything looks better and clean and shiny.

We stayed in the hotel and the room was lovely, but it wasn't as fun because its such a small place, we didn't even bother with bikes because we could walk everywhere. I'm sure the pool area didn't have the nice outside area like Longleat. The spa had a nice outside pool but it was freezing! So if you want a smaller center parcs and newer try Woburn but if you like a bigger center parcs with a better pool in my opinion go to Longleat. I need to go back!

We just got home tody from Woburn, it's our 2nd visit there but haven't been to Longleat as we think it's too far from us in Yorkshire! First up, why would you want to go to a safari in the UK? You may drive your own car into the enclosure or hire a car, but either way this is the only thing between you and them!

Another major difference is size — safari parks are generally bigger than zoos as they aim to give the animals as much space as possible.

The animals also tend to be bigger — think lions, giraffes, elephants and rhinos.
